Stacy Holcomb 14:35:59 5/28/2002

Hey Hazard! Just wanted to say hello. I have not been to your town since I was probably 12 or 13, now I am 24 so it's been awhile. Anyway, my father, Hatley Holcomb, and his family grew up in Hazard. He has since passed away, but I was just looking at photos and remembering the times I visited. I always loved coming to your town. My grandparents, Esther and Kermit Holcomb lived in the mountains, literally. I remember the road they lived on plan as day, because it scared me to death. A two way street, but barely enough for a coal truck and a car. Anyway, my grandparents house was on the edge of a mountain and right smack dab in front of it was a mountain, and I'm not kidding, you could walk just on the other side of the road and you could touch it. But the best memory, besides the smell of their house, was hearing the coal trucks, at all hours, on that road in front of their house. Well now that I've remenced, if any family or anyone who knows my family would like to catch up, feel free to e-mail me. It's always good to hear a familiar voice. Thanks,Stacy Holcomb
