I have enjoyed this site very much even though I don't know much about the area. I have relatives in the Franklin Co. area, wonder if any of these names ring a bell with anyone, John Jesse, deceased in 1979, Carter, Viola, Isabell, JaNelle, Lawrence, deceased,....wondered if anyone knew of any of these folks?

Billie Reda Sowers 16:54:27 2/05/2002

A Hazard friend of mine from Spartanburg, SC, just told me about seeing a message on this site from a Reda. Reda is not a common name, so she knew it must be a relative of mine. It was from Penny Reda Blandford. Penny's Grandma was my Mother's niece and her Grandpa was my Father's first cousin. I have lots of family photos but, unfortunately, only one taken in front of the Vicco (Pastime) theater Penny mentioned. It is nice to come on this site just to see who has been writing in. I grew up in Hazard in the thirties and forties.
