How could you not remember how good the Foot-longs from May's Dairy were? The only Foot-long I've found that is anywhere as good is from Sonic Drive-In--and that's really streachin' it!

we would circle combs drive in for fun. I met my husband there and have been married to him for thirty four years. Even though I graduated from Leslie County, if you are from Eastern Kentucky, you are one of us. I was born in Leslie County and am very proud of my Eastern Kentucky heritage. The foot long hot dogs at Mays Dairy Bar were the best. When it warmed up during the spring we would walk from HHS on Baker Hill to Mays Dairy Bar for lunch. I can still say the foot long hot dogs at Mays Dairy Bar were the best I have ever eaten. Does any other "old timers" remember those foot long hot dogs.

GENE KELLY 18:44:28 8/11/2004

It has been a long time since I visited this site. Anytime I am feeling low, I can "Click On" and "Go Back" to the past and all the good ole days. I try to get up to Hazard at least once a year. Most of my family and friends have either died or moved away so its not the same. Looking at all the pictures of main street like it used to be brings back so many wonderful memories. The saying is true "You can't go back". One thing for sure, no matter where you go, Hazard is known all over the world.Hello to all. gene

I really enjoy reading this guestbook. I see so many people that sound familiar. We grew up in Fourseam, Lothair, Christopher and Lower Second Creek.( Plus a few other places!!) ha We moved alot, as many coal mining families did. Now we are scattered all over, but our hearts are home in Kentucky. See you soon Bobby!!!!!!!!!

Great site, had visited before but never left a message. Great to hear from some of my class mates from M.C. Napier. Also, was great to see your message Uncle Wallace (beefoot). Be even nicer to see you. Just because mom and dad have passed away doesn't mean some family still don't exist. I think of all of you guys often. Guess Falf was right. Uncle Cecil and Aunt Prudie, thanks for everything I really enjoyed my visit with you. Looking forward to seeing you in September. Country Bob I tried to email you about Vietnam and it came back to me. Thanks for serving your country. I lost my brother in November 1966. I really am thankful for this site. Keep up the great work.
