holding an all class reunion, honoring the class of 51 this May 26th
at 7:00 PM at the grade school in Combs. Fred Keith Morgan, Cold

Combs
Grade School 1st
grade class of 1948-49. The names of these kids was omitted,
only the grade level was stated in the old yearbook. I'm sure
people will recognize themselves and enjoy seeing this old picture.
Thank you, Arlie. |

Aerial
Photo
I used the 3D surface of the Hazard area and aerial photography to create
this image. I do this sort of stuff for a living but I created this one in my spare time. Brady Johnson, Richmond, KY (originally from Hindman) |

This is a 55 inch Spoonbill Catfish that weighed 41 pounds. It was caught in April of 1961 by brothers - Cam & Ford Campbell on the Rockcastle River part of Cumberland Lake. The picture was taken in front of Cam's store on the right hand fork of Masons Creek. They almost turned the boat over trying to get it in. Ford said, "Lord how mercy, Cam, what is that?" Dad said it's a fish. The bill was like a saw blade and went thru Cam's thumb, which he almost lost, but thankfully, the Doctor was able to save it. (His thumb). Submitted by Frankie Lane (Campbell) Roberts of Dayton, Ohio with the help of her son, Julius Roberts Jr. |
